I feel incredibly lucky to have such a kind, patient, and genuinely supportive Spanish teacher. From day one, she has created a warm and welcoming environment that makes learning feel exciting and achievable. She goes above and beyond in every aspect—whether it's explaining complex grammar, helping with pronunciation, or encouraging us when we feel stuck. What really sets her apart is how deeply she cares about her students. She listens, adapts to our needs, and never hesitates to offer extra help. Having spent months on Duolingo I still couldn’t attempt to speak or understand Spanish in reality! I found Leila and joined a group of lovely ladies. The online classes are so friendly and go at a pace I enjoy. I have just returned from Spain and was so thrilled to be able to use what I've learned so far! I absolutely love my online small group Spanish classes. They are designed specifically for women, and there are participants from all over the world, which makes the experience even more enriching. I genuinely look forward to each session. We spend the first half hour in conversation, which helps build confidence, and then move into grammar and vocabulary. I'm learning so much and always leave with practical knowledge I can immediately apply to my day-to-day life here in Spain. They also organize monthly meetups in the Malaga Province along the Costa Del Sol where women from different classes and levels can connect in person, which creates such a strong sense of community. I especially appreciate that the classes are for women — I truly love the supportive environment and the wonderful women in my class.

I began the classes with a bit of experience but I couldn't speak Spanish. In just four months in the classes I mastered expressing myself. The teachers and other students were all absolutely fantastic and wonderful. I will definitely come back when I have free time. Thank you so much for everything.

Unlocking Spanish has been an amazing experience. Leila works really hard at finding you the perfect group for your level and I appreciate that. It's also comforting to be among group of woman on the same journey as you. The structure of the class of communication and grammar are both needed so it was nice to find a program like this. Very structured. And the instructors are very knowledgeable and nice. Highly recommend.

Unlocking Spanish is a wonderful community of women learning Spanish at all levels. I'm very much a beginner, but after my assessment I was told I was slightly above what I thought which was amazing! I was assigned to a group and given so much support from Leila and the teachers. They teach you in real life scenarios and also arrange meet ups with everyone based in Spain which is amazing if you've just moved to the country like me! Would highly recommend Unlocking Spanish ❤️

I've been taking online group classes with Unlocking Spanish for a year now, and my Spanish — and, importantly, my confidence - has improved dramatically. The format of 30 minutes of conversation followed by 30 minutes focused on grammar works really well. There's also a WhatsApp community with tips, and local events if you're in the Málaga area.
